About the College of Arts and Sciences

The College of Arts and Sciences is the oldest and largest undergraduate college at Niagara University. We create a learning environment where students are offered opportunities for intellectual, personal, and spiritual growth through a variety of programs, courses, and experiential learning in the arts, humanities, and sciences. Committed to excellence in teaching, research, and scholarship, our dedicated faculty works with students to build a true community of scholars. 

Here in the College of Arts and Sciences, student success is our inspiration. Our faculty is approachable and serves as students’ advisors throughout their entire undergraduate program. The college strives to be accessible to students through our website, Facebook, email, and other outreach efforts.

Programs of Distinction

The College of Arts and Sciences offers a rich array of degree programs, minors, and general education courses that encourage students to grow and develop into well-rounded, multi-talented individuals. 

The diversity of offerings within the college allows the flexibility to pursue unique interests through minors, double majors, honors programs, internships, study abroad, and research courses. Annually, over 70% of our graduates complete at least one minor or double major, increasing their interdisciplinary knowledge and career flexibility.

Many students have the opportunity to get involved in research early on in the College of Arts and Sciences. The majority of programs in the college offer students opportunities to conduct research in their junior/senior-level methodology, seminar, honors thesis, or independent research courses.
