Niagara University Senior Term Enrichment Program (NUSTEP) Ontario

  • Students who are in their junior or senior year of high school with an average of 80% or above in their five core classes (history, math, English, science, and language), and who are academically prepared for college-level coursework will be notified by the course instructor and/or guidance office of the opportunity to participate in the NUSTEP Ontario program.

You can take college classes for a fraction of the cost!

  • Courses are $140 CAD per credit hour (three credit hours = $420 CAD, four credit hours = $560 CAD).
  • Get taught by one of your high school teachers using our NU course syllabus and exams at your high school campus.

Online Registration for Spring 2024 Courses

  • Registration will take place Jan. 30 – Feb. 14, 2024.
  • NO LATE REGISTRATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED as the NUSTEP Ontario registration portal will close at the end of the work day (5 p.m.) on Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2024.
  • Registration is not complete until your tuition is paid online with a credit/debit card (additional 2.95% transaction fee will be applied) or electronic check, through our online payment portal, Touchnet – Canada, during the payment period.
  • Spring payment period will take place from Feb. 22 through March 11, 2024.

Program Benefits

NUSTEP Scholarship

  • Students who earn at least a B- (80) in their NUSTEP course(s) and enroll at Niagara University the fall semester after their high school graduation are eligible to receive a $3,000 scholarship per year.
  • Participating students who are admitted and decide to enroll at Niagara University immediately after high school graduation become eligible for the NUSTEP Scholarship, applicable for up to four years of full-time, continuous undergraduate study at Niagara University.
  • In addition, all completed NUSTEP courses, including the grades received, will be part of the student’s academic record at Niagara University and will be reflected on the student’s transcript and factored into the student’s cumulative GPA.
Applicability of credits toward the participating student’s Niagara University degree will be dependent upon the student’s chosen program of study at NU. Contact the Office of Admissions at 716.286.8700 for more information regarding undergraduate enrollment.
