Giving Societies
Donors can be recognized through three different societies depending on their generosity.

The John Lynch Society
As a member of the John Lynch Society, you can expect special communication about the status of the university, exclusive invitations to select campus and regional events, as well as year-round accountability regarding the use of your gift.
Gifts to the John Lynch Society must be received by May 31. All gifts made within the fiscal year are counted – including gifts to the Niagara Fund, endowment, and Purple & White, as well as matching gifts from employers. Lynch Society membership is based on giving at least $1,000 annually.

Loyalty Society
Our alumni, friends and organizations that contribute annually are recognized in the Niagara University Loyalty Society. Donors making gifts for 3 consecutive years or more are members of this group. Gifts of any amount, to any area of the university are counted toward this membership. Consistent giving at any level is vital to the success of the university!

Marcus Brown Heritage Society
When you make a gift to Niagara University from your will or trust, you'll be welcomed into the Marcus Brown Heritage Society and join other supporters and friends of our important mission. Is Niagara University already in your estate plans? Please let us know so we can properly thank you and make sure your gift will be used as you've intended.
Scholarships
Niagara University provides financial aid to 99 percent of incoming undergraduate students. This support plays a major role in a student’s decision to attend NU.
Scholarship funds can be endowed with a minimum gift of $50,000. These funds are invested and will award in perpetuity. Our current spending policy is approved annually by the Board of Trustees, and is calculated as 5 percent of a three-year moving average of the market value of endowment assets.
