Amanda Sharpe

Biography


Amanda Sharpe received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting with honors from the University of Florida, and her Masters of Fine Arts in Acting from the University of North Carolina Greensboro. She worked professionally with the North Carolina Shakespeare Festival and the North Carolina Theatre for Youth. Amanda also attended the British American Drama Academy at Stanford University to study acting.

She has been an Adjunct Professor at Niagara University for 17 years having taught acting, speech and dialects. A few Niagara University directorial credits include: the 2010-2018 N.U.R.T., The House of Bernarda Alba, Stage Door, 9 to 5: The Musical, The Wrestling Season, A Piece of My Heart, The Secret Life of Girls, Rumors, The Women of Lockerbie, The Pirates of Penzance, Wonder of the World, The Dearest of Friends, Spring Dance, The Underpants and The Princess and the Pea.

In addition to serving as Dialect Coach for many NU Theatre productions, Amanda has worked as the professional dialect coach at SUNY Brockport, MusicalFare, Irish Classical Theatre and The Kavinoky Theatre.
