By the numbers:
The Alumni Engagement Office works to build connections with more than 36,000 alumni by coordinating volunteers in 38 alumni networks across 17 states and two foreign countries.

Just the facts:
The Alumni Engagement Office works to make sure that the hearts of NU alumni continue to beat purple even after their time here has ended, and forges connections between past alums and incoming students.

The office gets alumni involved in number of ways: the Niagara Notes Program, wherein alumni write to prospective students from their hometowns to share past experiences and advice; connecting them with Career Services to encourage them to hire other Purple Eagles; and through general volunteer work, like representing Niagara at college fairs.

Each year, the office coordinates Alumni Weekend, which brings approximately 300-400 alumni back to campus for a weekend in October. The largest group, typically, is the 50-year class, who are honored with a special Mass and dinner. The office also recently expanded the Legacy Scholarship program to help continue the Purple Eagle bloodline by offering a $1,000-per-year Legacy Scholarship to students whose mother/father, aunt/uncle, step-parent, or grandparent have graduated from NU.

If you know of an alum who hasn’t been in contact with the office, please call or email Rossi or Morgan.
