Eligibility: Scholarship application is open to New York state residents, who are:

Full-time, degree-seeking students:

  • Pursuing a major or minor in
    • Tourism management
    • Hotel, event, and sports management
    • Culinary arts and or other travel and tourism-related fields
  • Entering their second year (if in a two-year degree program), in their junior or senior year (if in a four-year degree program), or enrolled in a graduate degree program.
  • Attending an accredited New York state college or university with NYSTIA membership affiliation.

This renewable financial award is designed to benefit a full-time enrolled junior or senior student(s) studying in the College of Hospitality, Sport, and Tourism Management with a minimum GPA of 3.0 who is fully committed to this field of study either through existing employment (or) a related internship (or) a related hospitality and tourism international program.

NEWH New York Chapter is offering scholarships

  • Open to students with a major and career objective within hospitality: interior design, culinary, hotel management, architecture, etc.
  • Student must be attending college in New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Northern New Jersey
  • Membership is not required but it is FREE to students and full-time educators

Metz Culinary Scholarship

The College of Hospitality, Sport, and Tourism Management is proud to partner with Metz Culinary Management to offer students both learning experiences and scholarship support. Named one of the leading providers of dining management services in the U.S. by Food Management Magazine, Metz has generously created an annual scholarship fund to help CoHST students offset the cost of learning or working abroad.

Awarded to incoming College of Hospitality, Sport, and Tourism Management students.

Scholarship Amount: $7,500 per year

Established in 2018, the Merani Scholarship was developed to foster the outstanding hospitality leaders of tomorrow. Recipients will train and work alongside Merani executives at one of the organization’s five hotel properties in the Niagara Falls region–three on the American side of the falls and two in Ontario, Canada. This exceptional opportunity will augment the knowledge gained in the classroom.

Recipients of the scholarship are selected by consensus of the Merani Scholarship Committee. Merani Scholarship Application 

College of Hospitality, Sport, and Tourism Management Alumni and Friends Scholarship Fund

Disbursements from this fund will be made to students of the College of Hospitality and Tourism Management who require immediate financial support in order to continue their Niagara University education. Recipients must be juniors or seniors who have maintained at least a 2.5 GPA and who are at risk of not graduating due to financial need.

National Hospitality, Sport, and Tourism Scholarships

AHLA Foundation Scholarship

Scholarship Amount: $7,500

The AHLA Foundation, founded by a group of hoteliers in 1953, is the charitable fundraising and endowed fund-management subsidiary of the American Hotel & Lodging Association (AHLA). It is also the primary source of financial support for lodging-industry-related research and educational opportunities for students and educational institutions focused on hospitality industry careers. Its core mission is to help people build careers that improve their lives and strengthen the industry. To provide the necessary resources to address important issues affecting the industry, the foundation has expanded its mission into areas such as workforce development and technology advancement.

ADMEI Linda Thompson Memorial Scholarship

Scholarship Amount: $2,500

The Association of Destination Management Executives International (ADMEI) awards the Linda Thompson Memorial Scholarship annually to students who are preparing for a career in destination management. Up to two scholarships will be awarded in the amount of $2,500 USD each.

Webstaurantstore Culinary & Hospitality Scholarship

Scholarship Amount: $5,000

Application Deadline: December 1

The WebstaurantStore Scholarship program is now offering two $5,000 grants to eligible students to help further their education in the fields of culinary arts or hospitality. We want to reward current or prospective students enrolled in a culinary arts program or majoring in Culinary Arts or Hospitality Management.

Whether you’ve already begun your secondary education or you’re in the exciting stages of choosing the right program, we invite you to apply. The scholarship program is also open to students who’ve come by their diploma through a GED program or non-traditional learning environment. We’ve set up each grant to be inclusive and support the next generation of passionate chefs and restaurant managers, regardless of socioeconomic status and current academic achievements.

A-1 Auto Transport Scholarship

Scholarship Amount: $1,000, $500, $250

Essays/articles shall be posted on our website with content attributed to the author and linked from this page, to be voted on by the A-1 Auto Transport Scholarship committee. The A-1 Auto Transport scholarship committee will be announcing the winners on our website on 25th July 2024. The winners will also be notified via email. Applications will be taken on a rolling basis.
