Our Accounting program offers you a comprehensive and adaptable education designed for aspiring accountants and financial professionals. Whether you envision a career in a big accounting firm, a small practice, or even starting your own business, this curriculum ensures you’ll be equipped to handle the complexities of the financial world after graduation as you pursue your specific career aspirations.

As a student at NU, you’ll learn about the accounting process in small interactive classes as you work one-on-one with our faculty, a distinctive group of internationally recognized instructors and seasoned professionals. You’ll also have opportunities to minor in fraud examination and/or data analytics, prepare for the CPA exam, or apply to become an Accelerated Scholars to earn your graduate degree on a much quicker timeline.

Accelerated Scholars

We allow students to earn your bachelor’s in Business Administration after three years, and a master’s in four years. One year of public accounting experience and the successful completion of the CPA exam are required for CPA certification.

Expert Faculty and Mentorship

All members of the Accounting faculty are CPAs, licensed professionals, and/or doctrinally trained in the accounting field. Many of our faculty members hold other professional credentials as well.

What You’ll Study at Niagara University

Our Accounting department provides a variety of options for you to earn a degree in accounting, including several pathways for students studying in the undergraduate program.

  1. Four year BBA undergraduate degree in accounting;
  2. Accelerated 4+1 BBA/MSA graduate degree in professional accountancy
  3. Accelerated 3+1 BBA/MSA graduate degree in professional accountancy

Once you graduate with your BBA in Accounting, you’ll be qualified for entry-level positions in all areas of the accounting profession, including public accounting, management accounting, government, and not-for-profit organizations.
