People seeking careers in actuarial science, business, finance, engineering, government service, industrial or government research, information technology, and education (to name a few) would all benefit from mathematical training.
Our Mathematics program focuses on problem solving skills through developing intellectual thought and logical problem solving skills. We have two programs. The BS in Math is very rigorous and prepares students for graduate school. The BA in Math is much more flexible and is good for students who want to pursue a double Major.
The coursework combines many pure, applied and statistics course to give students a wide range of problem solving skills so that they will be successful in the job market or in graduate school. The curriculum encourages students to do a minor in another discipline so that they can combine their math skills with other areas of study.
