This financial award is designed to benefit a full-time enrolled junior or senior student(s) studying in the College of Hospitality and Tourism Management who is fully committed to this field of study either through existing employment (or) a related internship (or) a related hospitality and tourism international program. Furthermore, the student must possess, at a minimum, a 3.0 GPA. This can be renewable.

  • Open to students with a major and career objective within hospitality: (interior design, culinary, hotel management, architecture, etc.)
  • Student must be attending college in: New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Northern New Jersey

  • Membership is not required but it is FREE to students + full-time educators

The College of Hospitality, Sport and Tourism Management is proud to partner with Metz Culinary Management to offer students both learning experiences and scholarship support. As one the leading  providers of dining management services, in the U.S. by Food Management Magazine, Metz has generously created an annual scholarship fund to help Hospitality and Tourism students offset the cost of learning or working abroad. 

Awarded to incoming College of Hospitality and Tourism Management students.


Metz Culinary Scholarship

Scholarship Amount: $7,500 per year

Application Deadline: March 3, 2023 

Established in 2018, the Merani Scholarship was developed to foster the outstanding hospitality leaders of tomorrow. Recipients will train and work alongside Merani executives at one of the organization’s five hotel properties in the Niagara Falls region--three on the American side of the falls and two in Ontario, Canada. Merani also operates a food truck and four restaurants. This exceptional opportunity will augment the knowledge gained in the classroom. The Merani Hotel Group can be found at

Disbursements from this fund will be made to students of the College of Hospitality and Tourism Management who require immediate financial support in order to continue their Niagara University education. Recipients must be juniors or seniors who have maintained at least a 2.5 GPA and who are at risk of not graduating due to financial need.

  • 10 additional $1,000 scholarships will be given out

Uncommon Sports Group is committed to your development!  This scholarship is available to anyone pursuing a career in collegiate and/or professional sports.  The USG Reflection Scholarship can be used for personal, spiritual, or professional development.  This may include paying off student loans, tuition, job board memberships, conference fees, etc.

The Foundation, founded by a group of hoteliers in 1953, is the charitable fundraising and endowed fund-management subsidiary of American Hotel & Lodging Association (AHLA). It is also the primary source of financial support for lodging industry-related research and educational opportunities for students and educational institutions focused on hospitality industry careers. Its core mission is to help people build careers that improve their lives, and strengthen the industry. In an effort to provide the necessary resources to address important issues affecting the industry, the Foundation has expanded its mission into areas such as workforce development and technology advancement.

The Association of Destination Management Executives International (ADMEI) awards two scholarships annually. The Linda Thompson Memorial Scholarship is awarded to students who are preparing for a career in Destination Management. Up to two scholarships will be awarded in the amount of $2500 USD each.

The Biannual Culinary & Hospitality Scholarship has been awarded since 2015. Twice a year, we award a one-time grant to students currently enrolled in or planning to attend a culinary arts or hospitality management program.

We've set up this scholarship in order to support the next generation of innovative chefs and restaurant managers, all of whom are such a critical part of WebstaurantStore's success. The scholarship is open to all students who are currently enrolled in culinary or hospitality programs, as well as high school seniors, GED students, and non-traditional learning students who plan to enroll in similar programs at the start of the next year.
