Whether you’re on a corporate retreat or attending an educational seminar, there is always an urge to step away and take in your surroundings. There is so much to do with your free time, on- and off-campus, while visiting the university.

Local Attractions

Niagara University is located on Route 104 on the northern limits of the City of Niagara Falls. The main campus runs along the top of picturesque Monteagle Ridge, overlooking the Niagara River Gorge, just four miles north of the world-famous waterfalls. The university’s campus is adjacent to the international border between the U.S and Canada. Niagara University is also within a short drive of Buffalo and Toronto, creating an international milieu.

Living on Campus

  • Computer Lab: 24-hour access (upon request).
  • Library Access
  • Alumni Chapel: A primary function of Niagara University is to assist all students and visitors in growing in their own faith journey. During each semester, Sunday Mass is celebrated at 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. On weekdays, Mass is celebrated at 12:15 p.m. In the summer, Sunday mass is celebrated at 10 a.m.
  • Gallagher Center main lounge features couches and sofas, TVs, and pool tables.
  • Kiernan Center  includes weight rooms and fitness areas, swimming, indoor track, saunas in both locker rooms and both indoor and outdoor basketball courts. Nominal guest fee of $5 a day.
  • Castellani Art Museum  Dedicated to the enjoyment and educational potential of the visual arts, the Castellani Art Museum houses and displays a distinguished  collection of contemporary art as part of its mission to remain dedicated to the professional care and preservation of this artwork. Free admission.
  • Niagara Power Project Vista  In walking distance from campus, the Power Vista features more than 50 interactive exhibits and an observation deck. Visitors of all ages enjoy the hands-on experience, as they learn about hydroelectricity and the historic role it has played in the Niagara Frontier.
  • Take a walk to Whirlpool State Park and enjoy the views of the rapids. Challenge yourself to hike down to the gorge, but be warned, it is not for the faint of heart!
