Scholarships

Various scholarship opportunities are available to tourism and hospitality students. They are based on need, academic achievement, and career aspirations. Some of these include: University sponsored scholarships, Statler Foundation, National Tour Foundation, American Society of Travel Agents, National Restaurant Educational Association, New York State Hospitality and Tourism Association, and the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Foundation.

American Hotel & Lodging Educational Foundation (AH&LEF)

If you are enrolled in a U.S. undergrad or graduate hospitality degree program such as hotel/restaurant management, culinary arts, travel/tourism, or hotel administration, you're probably a candidate for an AH&LEF academic scholarship.

National Restaurant Educational Association

This scholarship is for undergraduate students pursuing a certificate, associate degree, or bachelor degree in a restaurant and/or foodservice-related program.

New York State Hospitality and Tourism Association

The Foundation offers scholarships to full-time and part-time students majoring in a hospitality related field. These include both college students and high school students, who are either working at member properties, or are dependents of employees working at member properties.

Tourism Cares

Tourism Cares was formed by the combining of the National Tourism Foundation, founded by the National Tour Association in 1982, and the Travelers Conservation Foundation, founded in 1999 by the United States Tour Operators Association. Tourism Cares currently administers two scholarship programs.
