Our online Master’s of Science in Nursing Education program will help you develop as an educator by elevating your potential in teaching, scholarship, research, and practice. You’ll also hone your ability to address the needs of a wide range of populations, nurses, and other stakeholders to become change agents and effective collaborators in clinical practice and education.
At NU, you’ll study to become a nurse educator with online courses, small class environments, and individualized support based on your needs. You’ll explore relevant topics and initiatives like instructional design, educational theory, simulation strategies, educational leadership, assessment, and research to support your success while meeting the educational needs of health systems and academic institutions.
Program Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited nursing program with transcript
- Overall undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher. A holistic review will be considered for not meeting the GPA requirement.
- Active and unencumbered nursing license
- Letter of recommendation may be required
- CV documenting R.N. experience
There are instances when a candidate does not meet GPA requirements for admission. In this situation a holistic admission review will be considered with a request for letters of recommendation that would speak to the student’s potential for success in this program. Candidates believing they may fall into this category may be asked to submit a written self-reflection with their application for admission consideration
