Program Overview

Our Master of Science in Theatre Education program is designed for individuals who have completed extensive study in the field of theater and are not currently certified to teach. Once you graduate from Niagara, you’ll be prepared to teach the next generations of actors by expanding knowledge in the principles of teaching theater and practices of applied drama.

This is a three-semester program for full-time students. Students who start in the summer semester can finish their degree in one calendar year, with part-time schedules also available to accommodate your schedule. Graduation will lead to initial certification in New York state for teaching theater in grades Pre-K through 12.
