Biography


Dr. Dennis Nsafoah is an assistant professor of economics at Niagara University, where he joined the faculty in Fall 2021. He received his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Calgary in 2021. His research lies at the intersection of monetary economics and international macroeconomics, with a particular focus on how central bank policy affects domestic economies and how monetary policy shocks transmit across countries.

His work examines issues such as monetary policy transmission, international spillovers, and macroeconomic dynamics in advanced and emerging economies. Methodologically, he employs Structural Vector Autoregression (SVAR) models and Dynamic Stochastic General Equilibrium (DSGE) models to study the effects of monetary policy and global economic shocks.

Dr. Nsafoah is also actively engaged in public policy discussions related to Sub-Saharan Africa, particularly Ghana. His policy commentary and research focus on the interaction between monetary policy, fiscal policy, and macroeconomic stability in developing economies.
