Early Childhood and Special Education (Birth-2) program
An educator is also a lifelong learner. For current teachers, a graduate degree can lead to professional certification in NY State or can help you specialize your career and may qualify you for a salary increase or promotion. For professionals in a non-teaching career who have a bachelor's degree but want to move into a teaching career, an M.S.Ed. in teaching could be the path you're looking for.
Niagara University's College of Education offers a master of science in education, early childhood education and special education that leads to initial and professional New York state teacher certifications in both early childhood education (birth through grade two) and students with disabilities (birth through grade two). Graduates of the program will be able to serve as teachers, leaders and directors of early childhood programs, development specialists, teacher educators, etc., in a variety of early childhood and educational settings.
