Adriano is Certified with Full Distinction by the Academy of Fight Directors Canada. Adriano’s work as a Fight Director has been seen in over 100 productions, including productions at Geva Theatre Center, Arizona Theatre Company, and the Kavinoky Theatre, among others. For NU Theatre, Adriano has served as the Fight Director on over 30 productions and also directed Taming of the Shrew, Eurydice, Picasso at the Lapin Agile and Comedy of Errors (Best Director of a Play - BroadwayWorld Buffalo Theatre Awards). As Certified Fight Instructor with the AFDC, he has taught stage combat for many professional and educational institutions, most recently at the AFDC National Certification Conference in Calgary, AB, the Eastman School of Opera, and the New York State Theatre Education Association. Adriano also retains certifications with the British Academy of Stage and Screen Combat, the Nordic Stage Fight Society and the Society of American Fight Directors. As an actor, Adriano has had the honor of working with many distinguished theatre professionals including directors Michael Kahn, Rick Sordelet, Jean-Pierre Fournier, Ethan McSweeny, David Muse, Gale Edwards, James Still, Paul Mason Barnes, and David Ira Goldstein, among others. Professional acting credits include productions with Shakespeare Theatre Company, Folger Shakespeare Theatre, Round House Theatre, Indiana Repertory Theatre, and Olney Theatre Center, along with many award winning theatre companies here in Buffalo. Adriano is also featured in the film, MARSHALL, directed by Reginal Hudlin featuring Chadwick Boseman and Josh Gad. He is a proud member of AEA, SAG/AFTRA, SDC, and FDC.
