I decided to enroll at Niagara University because I wanted to dive into my field of study as soon as possible. Choosing your major is a life-changing decision and I wanted to be confident in it.

Students at NU begin studying their major within their first semester of freshman year, and, if they are undecided, they are already testing the waters of two majors of their choice.

Specific to my major, I knew that it would be important to enter the elementary classroom as soon as possible, so that played a large role in my decision. I also saw so much passion in all of the professors I met at the College of Education Accepted Students Day. They wanted me to get excited about the future and even offered to let me sit in on a class if I wanted to. After that event, I was always comparing the passion the professors had at other universities to the passion of the professors at NU. No other school was able to match it.

I love how easy it is to make connections with others in your classes. Professors know you, your classmates know you, you know your professor, and you know your classmates. I've seen this across the board in every class I've taken at NU! It serves as a great motivator to learn and always go to class because someone is going to know that you're missing if you don't show up.

When I'm not in class, I'm probably at an event hosted by one of our student organizations on campus, attending one of our Division I athletic games, or spending some time with friends in the Student Government/Clubs Office.

I hold multiple leadership positions on campus. I'm currently in the executive cabinet of the Niagara University Student Government Association (NUSGA), holding the position of communications director. I also served as an orientation leader (OL) this summer.
I've learned a lot through the leadership positions I've held on campus. The biggest lesson I've learned through these positions is to never stand in your own way. If an opportunity arises, go for it! If it doesn't work out, another will come along if you keep trying.

Attending NU is a decision you could never regret. There are so many opportunities for you to discover and become the best person you can be!
