I decided to enroll in Niagara because, when I walked onto the campus for the first time, it just felt like home. I loved how small the campus was and how nice everyone seemed. I just knew it was the right place for me.
I like the fact that most of my class work is online. It’s much more convenient because I carry my laptop with me everywhere so I can basically do my homework no matter where I go.
When I’m not in class, I am usually working, doing my homework, or hanging out with my friends. I commute to campus every day and I have noticed that I spend more time on campus doing who knows what than at my own house.
This semester, I became the treasurer of the Ridge Report. I have learned that there is a lot that has to be done to be able to do some of the things that we do such as order new equipment and going on trips. I didn’t know that we have to get our budget approved by NUSGA every semester and that we have to fundraise a certain amount of money in order for NUSGA to give us the budget that we request.
We have so many majors and minors to consider, which can lead you down so many different paths in life. The faculty and staff are incredibly helpful when it comes to finding internships or even just help in class.
Plus, there are so many different clubs and organizations that are available that it’s impossible to not be a part of something. If there is one thing I would tell an incoming freshman, it would be to get involved around campus.
