Dr. Millar joined Niagara University in Fall 2015 after completing her doctoral studies at Western University in London, Ontario, Canada. Dr. Millar will be teaching sport management courses in sport communication and technology, sport and recreation programming, organizational behavior, and strategic sport management. Dr. Millar’s area of study focuses on the development of organizational capacity within community sport organizations, and the nonprofit sport sector more broadly.

Dr. Millar’s prior academic background includes a Master’s degree in Sport Management from Brock University (St. Catharines, Ontario) and a Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics from the University of Ottawa (Ottawa, Ontario). Her research has been published in refereed academic journals such as Sport Management Review and Sport Management Education Journal, as well as presented at International sport management conferences including the North American Society for Sport Management, European Association for Sport Management, Leisure Studies Association, International Association for Communication and Sport conferences, as well as the Association for Research on Nonprofit Organizations and Voluntary Action conference.
