Master’s Degree Programs (40 credit-hours)

Niagara University’s offers the master of science degree in special education online that leads to initial/professional certification in teaching students with disabilities in grades 1-6 or 7-12. Core courses are offered that range from special education foundations, policies and practices to student assessment, classroom strategies and modifications necessary to enhance student learning.

Niagara University’s master of science and certificate programs in special education have been approved by the New York State Education Department for individuals who possess a baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution and hold initial teaching certification in an approved area.
