Wednesday, April 22

  • Earth Day 2015 Celebration | 11 a.m.-2 p.m. | Gallagher Center

    • Sponsored by NU's Sustainability Committee
    • Eco-Fair: Local green businesses and environmental organizations will be on campus to discuss ways to get involved and to bring the community together. Includes a variety of information tables and interactive exhibits.

     

  • American Red Cross Blood Drive | 10 a.m.-4 p.m. | Gallagher Center MPR

    • Give the gift of life and give blood! You can also receive three hours of community service just for donating!

     

  • Tau Kappa Epsilon - St. Jude's Week | 12 p.m. | Gallagher Lounge

    • Meet members of Tau Kappa Epsilon as they raise funds for the St. Jude's Children Research Hospital all week.
  • It's Time To Change | 4 p.m. | Golisano 101

    • Sponsored by NU's Sustainability Committee
    • Panelists will discuss how they began sustainability change and improvements to their communities - and inspire you to do the same!

     

  • 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament | 5 p.m. | O'Shea Courts (Kiernan if rain/cold)

  • Awesome People Saying Awesome Things | 7 p.m. | Dunleavy 127

    • Sponsored by NU Alliance. Students will be able to share poetry or other short pieces in a supportive environment.
  • Lecture w/ Denny Kolsch, To Write Love On Her Arms | 9 p.m. | Dunleavy 127

    Sponsored by To Write Love On Her Arms (TWLOHA). Kolsch, a licensed mental health counselor, shares his powerful story of overcoming anxiety, depression and drug addiction. A member of the nonprofit group To Write Love On Her Arms (TWLOHA), he brings real-life experience and a message of support to students on campuses across the country.

  • Witmer Road University Entrance Celebration | 10:30 a.m. | Witmer Road

    Join in the official celebration of the newly constructed Witmer Road entrance to Niagara University. Authorities from the New York Power Authority and Niagara University will be present and members of the community are invited to attend! 

  • Parking Lot Party | 12-2 p.m. | Gallagher Center Parking Lot (Gallagher Center if inclement weather)

    Sponsored by Commuter Advocacy Board (CAB), Traditions Committee, Tau Kappa Epsilon (TKE), Alpha Sigma Alpha (ASA), Business Organizational Leadership Development (BOLD).

    Activities to include:

  • Walk A Mile In Her Shoes | 4:30 p.m. | Gallagher Center

    Each year, an ever-increasing number of men, women and their families are joining the award-winning Walk a Mile in Her Shoes®: The International March to Stop Rape, Sexual Assault & Gender Violence. A Walk a Mile in Her Shoes® Event is a playful opportunity for men to raise awareness about the topic of sexualized violence against women. Cost will be $1 to participate and is open to all students, men and women. Meet in the Gallagher Center. Community service hours available for this event so come out and support!

    Get over to Dwyer Arena to enjoy The Nest! Great company and great food, including $0.25 chicken wings! Cash bar for those 21+. All students and employees welcome!

  • Comedy Night featuring Emma Willman | 8 p.m. | Dunleavy 127

    Sponsored by the Campus Programming Board.

    In 2014, Emma Willmann was featured on the Cover of TimeOutNY, as one of the top ten funniest females in New York City, beat out hundreds of comics to be a top ten finalist in New YORK’S Funniest at Caroline’s on Broadway, headlined her own sold out show in The New York Comedy Festival at Stand Up New York, started to tour the college market nationally, appeared on the TV shows “Deadly Affairs,” “My Crazy Love,” and “True Crime,” and made her national stand up comedy television debut on AxisTV’s Live at Gotham hosted with Louie Anderson.

    She performs comedy every night of the week and has been doing so for the past four years. Extremely unique, you don’t want to miss this one of a kind act.

    Professional caricature artist Sal Anello will be drawing our students how they never have been drawn before!

  • Car Wash | 11 a.m.- 2 p.m. | Gallagher Parking Lot

    Give your car a spring cleaning! Members of Commuter Advocacy Board and Tau Kappa Epsilon are teaming up to wash cars with funds going to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

  • Student vs. Faculty/Staff Volleyball | 5:30 p.m. | Kiernan Center

    Nothing like a friendly game to celebrate Ridgefest with some faculty and staff versus students!

    Hundreds of prospective Niagara students and their families will be on campus visiting and getting a small taste of what life is like on Monteagle Ridge! 

  • NU Softball vs. Manhattan l 12 & 2 p.m. l Softball Field

    Support the Purple Eagles as they take on the Manhattan Jaspers in a doubleheader out at the softball field!

  • Bubble Soccer/Knockerball & Kan Jam Tournament l 1-3 p.m. l Niagara Turf Field

    Try the new and awesome activity of Bubble Soccer! Also known as Knockerball, grab your friends and get out to the turf field to give this game a try as it promises to be a great time! Kan Jam tournament too! 

  • NU Theatre presents "Guys and Dolls" l 2 & 7:30 p.m. l Leary Theatre
