Wednesday, April 20

  • American Red Cross Blood Drive | 10 a.m.-4 p.m. | Gallagher Center Mult-Purpose room

    • Start Ridgefest by giving the gift of life! Donate blood! Community service hours available to all donors. Free T-shirts to all donors!


  • Noon Tunes featuring Zak Ward | 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. | Outside of Gallagher Center

    • Enjoy the acoustic talents of Zak Ward! 


  • NU Big Purple Chair Photos | 11a.m. - 2 p.m. | Outside of Gallagher

    • Grab your friends and jump on the big purple chair! Walk away with a nice 3x5 photo!
  • Caricature Artist | 11a.m. - 2 p.m. | Outside Gallagher

    • Join in the Ridgefest fun and sit down and have an individual or small group caricature done by local artist Sal Anello!


  • Pie-A-TKE | 12 p.m. | Outside Gallagher

    • Support the gentlemen of Tau Kappa Epsilon as they get ready for their St. Jude's week where they raise funds for the St. Jude's Foundation!
  • Women's Lacrosse vs. Siena | 4 p.m. | Niagara Field

    Support the Purple Eagles and come out to cheer on the women's lacrosse team as they battle Siena!

  • NU Lip Sync Battle | 7 p.m. | Dunleavy 127

    In the style of lip sync battles seen on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and Spike TV’s Lip Sync Battle, Niagara University students will now have the opportunity to compete for the title of NU Lip Sync Battle Champion of Ridgefest 2016 on Wednesday, April 20, at 7 p.m. in Dunleavy 127!

    In this entertaining event, contestants (as individuals or groups) will show off their dance moves and lip singing skills and entertain the crowd and judges in 3-5 minute time slots to the song or mashup of songs of their choice!

    Don’t be afraid to go all out with costumes, props, and choreography and lose your dignity for a night – you can regain it with huge cash prizes!

    Prizes are as follows: First place: $300 – Second place: $200 – Third place: $100.

    Signups are in the Campus Activities Office – get there fast as there are only 15 spots available to compete! Bring your friends and we will see you there! Free food, too!

  • The Nest | 9 p.m. - 11 p.m. | Dwyer Arena Premium Suite

    Get over to Dwyer Arena to enjoy The Nest! Great company and great food! Bring your friends for an hour of Pub Trivia from 9-10 p.m. and then watch or even participate in a Wing Eating Contest! Cash bar for those 21+. All students and employees welcome! Sponsored by the NUSGA Class of 2018.

  • Awesome People Saying Awesome Things | 5 p.m. | Dunleavy 127

    • Sponsored by NU Alliance. Students will be able to share poetry or other short pieces in a supportive environment.
  • Mr. & Ms. Niagara | 7 p.m. | Gallagher Multipurpose Room

    A light-hearted event to crown who lives and displays the best Niagara spirit. Categories include: NU Purple Pride, Individual Talent, and a Q-and-A. Winning Mr. & Ms. Niagara receive $200, a crown/tiara, and bragging rights for a whole year!

  • Escape from Golisano! | 9 p.m. | Golisano 101

    In the spirit of escape rooms, we are hosting an “Escape from Golisano” night. Teams of four students will compete in their great escape. A series of eight activities in different rooms within the Golisano Center.  

    Winning team will receive $100 in Galleria Mall gift cards!

Friday, April 22

  • Earth Day Celebration | 11 a.m.- 2 p.m. | Gallagher Center

    Come down to the lower level of Gallagher and check out all of the displays celebrating Earth Day!

  • Noon Tunes | 12:30- 1:30 p.m. | Gallagher Center

    While enjoying the Earth Day exhibits, grab some lunch and enjoy NU's own Alex Daddone play some of his favorites!

  • NU Sign Idol | 6 p.m. | Dunleavy 127

    Come join us for the annual ASL Club event: Sign Idol! A creative spin on American Idol, performers will translate their favorite songs into American Sign Language and sign them in front of a panel of judges and the audience! All students are welcome!

  • Ridgefest Concert featuring Jeremih | 8 p.m. | Rapids Theatre

    Students can purchase tickets on myNU! Shuttle service available to students from 6:30-8 p.m. and then immediately after the concert. Pickup from in front of Gallagher.

Saturday, April 23

  • NU Amazing Race | 1 p.m. | Gallagher Multi-Purpose Room

    In the style of The Amazing Race, teams of three students race across campus to accomplish tasks. Look out for detours!  

    Winning teams receive $200! Sign up in Campus Activities before it fills up!

  • RidgeFESTIVAL l 4-7 p.m. l O'Shea Quad (Kiernan Center if inclement weather)

    Come out and enjoy a great day at Niagara University! Inflatable games, obstacle courses, bungee-cord suspensions, bazooka ball, bouncy boxing, as well as giveaways including purple street signs, make-your-own aroma bead air fresheners and make-your-own stunner shades while they last! Free cookout, too! Cash bar area for those 21+.    

  • Back to the 90s Fashion Show l 8 p.m. l Castellani Art Museum

    The Office of Multicultural Affairs is sponsoring Back to the 90s fashion show and After party with performances by Rotimi and Maryland Lavon. 

    Rotimi currently plays the role of Dre on the hit show POWER on Starz. In 2015, American rapper and executive producer of Power50 Cent signed Rotimi to his label, G-Unit Records. He also released his first G-Unit single "Lotto" featuring 50 Cent.

    Maryland Lavon is an emerging artist signed to Mary J. Blige’s Matriarch label. Lavon worked alongside hitmaker Donnell Shawn, who collaborated with Mary J. Blige (“Irreversible”), Marcus Canty (“Three Words), and Boyz II Men (“Flow”), to create her debut project, The Pretty Villain.

    Doors for the Fashion Show open at 7 p.m., and the show starts at 8 p.m. in the Castellani Art Museum on Saturday, April 23. The After party starts at 10 p.m. in the MPR. In order to attend the event, you must sign up at the Office of Multicultural Affairs, located in the Gallagher Center, Room 114. Payment and ID is required at the time of sign up.

    Event cost for the general public is $20 per person and $10 for Niagara University students (limit two tickets). The admission price covers both events with signups beginning Friday, April 15, and will continue until the event is sold out. We hope to see you there in your 90s attire!
