Staff

The staff in the Office of Residence Life is committed to helping our students succeed academically and personally while living on campus. Each individual residence hall or area is staffed by a residence director and several community advisors. 

Residence directors (or RDs) are professional staff members who are on call 24 hours a day for students who need assistance and respond to any emergencies. The RDs oversee the buildings themselves, the CA staff who works there, and all the students who live there. The RDs are available for assistance with any concerns students may have, either academic or personal, and to assist in students' transition to college and success while at Niagara.

Community advisors (or CAs) are fellow Niagara students and leaders of the floor. CAs will reach out to students regularly and offer mentorship and guidance with any concerns they may have (i.e. academic, homesickness, roommates, etc.). CAs go through extensive training and can always connect students to our resources on campus. Our CA team is highly passionate about helping their peers be successful, energetic and talented.  Lead community advisors (LCAs) are the leaders of our CA staffs and serve as an additional resource in the halls for students and CAs alike.

Who can I contact if there's an issue or concern?

Students

If you are experiencing any issues, your CA is a great place to begin. There is truly no issue too big or too small to bring to your CA or RD. We're here to help with whatever we can - we aren't just here for handing out keys and doing rounds! If you are looking for another person to talk with, your residence director is a wonderful resource as well. There is always at least one CA in your area and an RD on duty to help with any concerns every single night. During the day, if you ever need to speak with someone, just come in to our office in O'Shea Hall, Room 108 and we'll have someone you can talk with ASAP.
