Letters of Recommendation

When applying for graduate/professional schools and employment, you may be asked to request a letter of recommendation.

Students applying to Niagara University Graduate Programs will need to manage their letters of recommendation through the graduate application portal at www.niagara.edu/gradapply.

To request a letter from a university employee (faculty or staff member), please follow the steps below.

Step 1: Resources

On the MyNU home page, navigate to the 'Resources' tab.

Step 2: FERPA

Once on the 'Resources' page, use the side menu to navigate to the 'FERPA' page.

Step 3: Letter of Recommendation

On the 'FERPA' page, use the side menu to navigate to the 'Recommendation Form' page.

Step 4: Complete the Recommendation Form

sUBMIT

Fill out all of the fields on the form and click 'Submit' at the bottom of the page to send to your reference.  Be sure to double check that all of the information is correct.

Step 5: Follow Up with Your Reference(s)

Once you have completed these steps, verify with your reference that they have received the email notification.

Once you reach the FERPA information page, scroll to the bottom of the page to view your Letter of Recommendation request(s) and status.
