Duleep C. Deosthale, Ph.D.

Duleep Deosthale, Ph.D., is a recognized international educator and administrator with more than 25 years of experience in leadership, study abroad, student recruitment, and fundraising.
Before being named vice president of international relations at Niagara, Dr. Deosthale served as senior consultant at The Thinkubator in NYC and was chair of the academic board at KEI Study Abroad. He also has proven experience in university teaching, student affairs, academic governance, program design, curriculum development, and as an entrepreneur who co-founded a successful Silicon Valley-funded AI driven international student recruitment startup, Admission Table, which was acquired in 2018. He has held academic and/or administrative appointments in Germany, India, Italy, and Malaysia, and has also taught in Mexico, South Africa, and Spain.
At Niagara, Dr. Deosthale works to implement the best practices in comprehensive internationalization and to strengthen the university's international profile including study abroad, exchange partnerships, and linkages.
In 2016, Dr. Deosthale received the European Association for International Education President's Award for Outstanding Contribution to International Education. He is also the recipient of the 2008 Timothy Rutenber Award for Outstanding Contribution to International Education from the Association of International Education Administrators, and was named Innovator of the Year by the publication Campus Technology. He received the 1992 “Teacher of the Year” Award at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
Dr. Deosthale holds both a B.A. and an M.A. from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, India. He has a diploma from the University of Barcelona, Spain, an M.A. from Indiana State University, and a Ph.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles.
