Symposium on the topic of Christianity and Human Enhancement/Transhumanism
- September 9, 2022 – September 10, 2022
- 350 Bisgrove Hall
This two day symposium will focus on questions about the relationship between Christianity and Human Enhancement/Transumanism. The program will consist of seven invited speakers, each of whom will present an original paper on this theme. Possible questions speakers might consider are: Is Christianity (in whole or in part) compatible with transhumanism? What insights might Christianity have for the distinction between therapy and enhancement? How might a Christian perspective apply to the practice of parents enhancing their children? Would the widespread pursuit of enhancement threaten distinctly Christian virtues? Program details including the list of speakers, paper titles, and schedule will be forthcoming.
