Accelerated Second-Degree Bachelor of Science (ASDBS) Program

IMG 9965

Niagara University offers an accelerated nursing program for individuals who possess a bachelor degree in another field and are interested in a second career as a professional registered nurse. This program is one year in duration, with enrolled students completing coursework on a full-time basis. Included in student learning opportunities are classroom, lab, and clinical courses. Class sizes are small to enhance student success. Upon successful completion of the program the student will be eligible to sit for the NYS RN licensing examination (NCLEX).

Once a cohort is full, applicants who are still interested in the program but did not meet the criteria for acceptance or deposit in time may defer their application to a future semester.  Applicants may use this time to work on their prerequisite courses.
