There has been a lot of news recently about the cost of higher education, student debt and even free tuition for some New York state residents. While I am grateful for this dialogue, there has been a lack of information available, which is making it difficult for families to see what their true choices are when it comes to selecting an institution of higher education for this fall.
As the president of Niagara University, I want to tell you that Niagara has always been committed to providing an excellent education that is affordable and accessible. This is both our commitment to you and our mission. Specifically, I want you to be aware that at Niagara University:
- The Level Tuition Plan (LTP) offers families the opportunity to save approximately $4,000 on the cost of tuition;
- Last year, 98% of our students received financial aid;
- Nearly $44 million in scholarships and aid was awarded to students in 2016;
- Money magazine has recognized NU as offering the best return on investment (ROI) in the Buffalo-Niagara Region for two years in a row.
If you have not already taken advantage of the Level Tuition Plan, I would strongly encourage you to review the plan to see if it suits you and your family. LTP families have the opportunity to lock in a fixed tuition for all four years of study at Niagara, and it is an excellent way for families to gain economic certainty and have a clear understanding of the costs associated with an NU degree.

I hope and pray that you have a wonderful end to your senior year. I look forward to seeing you on campus this summer for orientation.
