Institutional Review Board

The Institutional Review Board (IRB) is Niagara University's research ethics board. We are responsible for reviewing all research involving human subjects to ensure that it meets all applicable ethical and regulatory standards. This includes survey studies and research conducted off campus by Niagara University faculty and students. All human subjects research projects must be approved or exempted by the IRB before the research can begin.

The menu to the left provides information commonly requested by researchers, including the application form. All IRB submissions are submitted electronically to IRBproposal@niagara.edu. If you have questions, please contact the IRB chairperson, Dr. Paul Schupp, at 716.286.8335.
