Joseph Castiglia has been an adjunct professor in the College of Hospitality and Tourism Management at NiagaraUniversity since 2012. In addition to his current position at Niagara, he works for the Southtowns Community Enhancement Coalition as their Executive Director. The Coalition is a non-for-profit organization committed to the sustainable economic development of the southtowns. Members include the towns of Brant, Collins, Concord, Eden, Evans, North Collins and the villages of Angola, Farnham, and North Collins. Under his direction the coalition concentrates on four major programs, Governmental Outreach, Community Outreach, Economic Enhancement, and Tourism through the operation of the Southtowns Farm Trail. Mr. Castiglia also currently owns and operates a small window covering business.
Mr. Castiglia has over 15 years of professional experience associated with the sport and recreation industry, specifically in the field of intercollegiate athletics. Serving as Asst. AD for external relations at University California – Santa Barbara, Director of Marketing/Corporate Relations Cleveland State University, Marketing Manager University of Texas at El Paso. Mr. Castiglia began his athletic career as an Athletic Trainer at UTEP.
Mr. Castiglia has been a key contributor to all the departments he has worked for. Though his expertise is in the areas of revenue generation, marketing/promotions, corporate relations/sponsorships and fundraising. He has an extensive background in event management, facility management, budget & staff management and compliance.
