Family Visas for Graduation

International students often have family and/or friends who want to come to the U.S. to join in the celebration of the student's academic achievement at the graduation ceremony. A Verification of Enrollment letter, with the anticipated graduation date included, will support their visa application. 

THE UNIVERSITY DOES NOT ISSUE INDIVIDUAL INVITATION LETTERS FOR GRADUATION

IMPORTANT NOTE:

• If your anticipated graduation date is incorrect in our system, you will need to have your academic dean's office send an email to the Records Office indicating the correct date. You can find the current anticipated graduation date that is in our system in your "PROFILE" in MyNU.  DO NOT SUBMIT YOUR REQUEST UNTIL THE DATE IS CORRECT IN OUR SYSTEM.
• If this date is incorrect in the system, we will complete the verification of enrollment with the incorrect anticipated graduation date and the letter will not support your family and/or friend's visa request. 

Also, if you would like to provide them with a student copy of your transcript, please log into Self Serve and print your student copy transcript from the "transcript" link in the bottom right section.

Upon submitting the request for verification of enrollment, please allow 7 days for processing.
