Bio
Dr. Erwin's professional responsibilities have included elementary classroom teacher, reading clinician, College developmental reading instructor, NCATE coordinator, department chair, and associate professor of teacher education for undergraduate and graduate candidates.
Focus of Teaching
In my teaching, I seek to cultivate among teachers and teacher candidates the knowledge, skills, and dispositions of influential literacy teachers
Current Research
Strategies for empowering learners for independent comprehension and critical analysis of texts, utilizing instructional technology for deep learning, improving the authentic rigor of teacher education
