  • Special Education Teacher, 2015
  • Buffalo Hearing and Speech
I attended Niagara University from 2013-2015 for graduate work. During my enrollment at Niagara University, while pursuing my master’s degree in Special Education and Early Childhood Education (birth-2nd grade), I learned so much from my professors and enjoyed small classes that allowed me to connect with my peers and deeply engage in the content and concepts. I had the opportunity to work very closely with the Associate Dean, Dr. Mary Ellen Bardsley and attended the NAEYC conference in April of 2015 where I presented a paper on the topic, "Parents with Disabilities." Since January of 2017, I have been working at Buffalo Hearing and Speech as a Special Education Teacher. I am currently a Kindergarten teacher in a 6:1:1 classroom for Buffalo Hearing and Speech's new school aged program located in Buffalo. I am incredibly grateful to Niagara University for helping me to obtain my current position by preparing me to succeed in the interview/job search process and to work meaningfully and effectively in my subsequent career.

Niagara University was the place I belonged, it felt like home. I received guidance through the application process and was welcomed to the Early Childhood and Special Education Program. The graduate program at Niagara University offered me a personalized experience for my passion and the professors went above and beyond to ensure that my education was meaningful and relevant to my position.
