The office of Multicultural International Students Affairs (MISA) strives to help each student maximize their college experience through learning more about themselves as well as others. We create cultural-enriched programs that will make Niagara an even more enjoyable place to be, and provide the information necessary for students to reach their goals. As we know, each person defines what success is, and we look to support each other in developing this definition and fulfilling its reality.
The MISA department is charged with three tasks:
- Educating the entire campus community on a variety of cultures and cultural issues
- Serving the needs of Niagara’s underrepresented students
- Assisting Niagara’s international student population
As members of Niagara University’s student body, we believe in bringing more awareness to the Niagara University campus environment around issues concerning diversity. We believe in bringing appropriate change to our campus, but more importantly to ourselves as individuals. We believe in breaking barriers and exposing stereotypes for what they are. We believe in extending the awareness of our differences in order to see our similarities. We believe in you!
- Core Values
The NU Alliance provides a safe and welcoming place for all LGBTQIA individuals and allies. It is a student group established to work with the university in addressing needs and concerns related to gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender students at Niagara University in ways that are appropriate to our Catholic and Vincentian Mission.
