Ibrahim Berrada earned his BA in Political Science with a Concentration in International Relations from Carleton University. He completed his MA in Canadian-American Studies at Brock University and State University of New York at Buffalo. Ibrahim spent a number of years as a political staffer in Ottawa working for several Members of Parliament on various national and international portfolios. His most recent political role supported the Minister of Public Services and Procurement Canada. He is currently a PhD Candidate in Human Studies at Laurentian University.

Current Research: 

Ibrahim’s current research examines voter behavior and sociopolitical attitudes that propagate populism in Canada and the United States. He pays particular attention to populist movements, populist campaigns, anti-establishmentarian sentiment, voter polarization, voter rage, neoliberal inequality, nationalism, and xenophobic tendencies.
