Ted Lee has been involved with the international/ESL community since 2008. After completing his undergraduate degree in sociology at Syracuse University, he taught English in South Korea for two years in a government-sponsored program for elementary school students (EPIK). With this experience, he went on to SUNY Buffalo to complete his master's in TESOL. After completing his degree, he was an instructor for the SUNY Buffalo ELI program (English Language Institute) for five years. He taught in the ESL and IEP (Intensive English Program) programs, helping students from all over the world.
In 2016, he served as an ESL consultant for Niagara’s University Brennan Center and taught in their ESL program as well as their Summer English Camp. Currently, he is pursuing his Ph.D. in leadership and policy while acting as assistant director of international recruitment and operations here at NU. In his free time, Ted coaches lacrosse for the Buffalo Lacrosse Academy as well as Grand Island High School, and was recently named 2017 Coach of the Year for Section 6 Class C in New York state. He also enjoys playing all sports, keeping an active lifestyle, listening to music and watching movies.
