Dana Estrada

Since July of 2010, Dana Estrada has served as the executive director for Border Community SERVICE of Niagara University.

Estrada joined the staff of BCS/NU in May 2008 as the project Coordinator for the City of Buffalo citizen preparedness training and outreach education program, funded by the Buffalo-Erie-Niagara Urban Area Security Initiative grant.

Having worked with nonprofit organizations and higher education institutions, Estrada joined BCS with several years of volunteer coordination and community relations experience. As a former staff member of the Regional Community Policing Center at the University at Buffalo, she partnered with numerous local law enforcement agencies in various capacities, including serving on a regional task force and as a board member of the Crime Prevention Association of Western New York. She also worked as the community outreach coordinator at the Office of Community Relations of the University at Buffalo.

Estrada holds degrees from the State University of New York at Fredonia and The George Washington University. She and her husband, Josh, are the proud parents of Claire and Evan, and they enjoy  traveling, antiques, hiking and geocaching.
