Bio

Dr. Boiarintseva joined the faculty as an Assistant Professor in December 2019 after receiving her Ph.D. from York University’s School of Human Resource Management, Toronto (Canada). Her dissertation research examined how individuals in dual-career professional couples without children understand, experience and manage their work-life balance. She also holds a master’s degree in Human Resources Management and an undergraduate degree in Business Administration from York University.

Dr. Boiarintseva’s primary research interests focus on the intersection of gender, work-life balance, and career trajectories of professional individuals and dual-career couples. She is also interested in investigating how power-driven motivation is interpreted and experienced at the individual as well as organizational level. Her work has appeared in peer-reviewed journals such as Personnel Review and Human Resource Management Journal. In addition, she has presented her work across Canada and has been involved in several international conferences.

Dr. Boiarintseva has recently finished a three-year service term with Administrative Sciences Association of Canada (ASAC) in the capacity of Program Coordinator, Divisional Editor and Division Chair. In addition to her academic work, Dr. Boiarintseva has over ten years of corporate HR experience, having served in the role of Human Resources Manager at a reputable Toronto law firm.
