Why I Chose NU
Niagara has always had a special place in my heart. NU saw the potential in me before I even set foot on campus as a student. I chose NU for the people and the community. Members of Niagara will get to know you on a deeper and more personal level. Everyone you meet here will have a lasting impact on your life. From the minute I set foot on campus, I knew that NU was going to be my home and my family, not just for the four years, but forever.
My Most Meaningful Experience at NU
My most meaningful experience at NU was the time I went on a BASIC service immersion trip to Houston, Texas. I was given the opportunity to help rebuild and restore houses affected by Hurricane Harvey through the Office of Campus Ministry. Campus Ministry has shown me what an impact I can have on the poor and the surrounding community through service and action. Through this opportunity, I have gained an understanding and an experience of Niagara’s mission and I have learned what it truly means to be a Purple Eagle.
I am involved in a variety of things on campus. I am the vice president and treasurer of dance crew and a senator for the Class of 2022. I am heavily involved in Campus Ministry and the SVdP (or St. Vincent de Paul Society). I am also a part of CPB’s Late Nite Niagara committee as well as NUFTA (Niagara University Future Teachers’ Association_. I am also a tour guide on campus.
I love to spend time with my friends, whether we are studying and catching up at a local coffee shop, such as Orange Cat or playing board games and watching movies in St. Vincent’s Hall. I love to dance and exercise as well. Usually in my free time, you can find me in the Kiernan Center. I am also a huge Office fan and can be seen quoting the show anytime of day.
