Dr. Arrani Senthinathan

Dr. Arrani Senthinathan is an Assistant Professor of Management at Niagara University. She received a PhD in Health Services Research from the University of Toronto. She also holds a Business Fundamental/Mini-MBA certification and Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

Dr. Senthinathan is an award-winning educator, with multiple teaching assistantships and departmental awards for excellence in teaching and mentorship. She is also an accomplished researcher with a proven track record of impactful publications, conference presentations and prestigious awards. In 2024, she was awarded Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) Fellowship. Dr. Senthinathan’s research has been showcased at the Ontario Science Centre, where she translated complex scientific findings into an engaging exhibit.

Current Research

Dr. Senthinathan’s research focuses on harnessing big data in healthcare to optimize access and outcomes for vulnerable and rehabilitation populations. By leveraging health administrative databases and electronic medical records, she explores disparities in healthcare, with a particular emphasis on equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI). Through research, Dr. Senthinathan aims to drive policy changes and improve health outcomes, underscoring her commitment to using data-driven approaches to enhance the quality of care for marginalized groups.
