Niagara University Alumni Weekend: June 4-6, 2021 

Join your classmates back on campus to relive your NU memories and make new ones at alumni weekend! This first-ever June alumni weekend will honor our alumni who graduated in class years ending in 0s and 5s, as well in 1s and 6s. We thank you for your patience as we navigated our decision to safely welcome you back to campus. Niagara University will follow NYS social distancing and event guidelines to provide a safe experience for all attendees.

NU Event Gathering Guidelines Effective as of April 7: 100 patrons indoor, 200 outdoor. Testing will not be required while staying within these guidelines. Proof of vaccination or a negative PCR test (72 hours prior to the event) will be required if capacity is above 100/200 for any given event. Masks will also be required except while sitting, eating, or drinking. Niagara University will follow all NYS event protocols to ensure a safe and responsible weekend. 

For planning purposes, you must register for any event you plan to attend. Guests will also be given an NU mask and hand sanitizer at check-in. The registration deadline is Wednesday, May 26. Walk-ins will not be allowed at any event.

Event Schedule - June 4-6, 2021

Friday, June 4

Golf at Seneca Hickory Stick
If you're looking to hit the links before Alumni Weekend kicks off, we have arranged for special rates at Seneca Hickory Stick in Lewiston, N.Y. To make your tee time, (blocks from 8:30 - 11 a.m.) contact Joe Bock at 716.754.2424. Senior rate: 18 holes with cart (sharing the ride) $69.00/per golfer; Regular rate: 18 holes with cart (sharing the ride) $79.00/per golfer. 

5:30 p.m.
Class of 1970 Golden Eagle Celebration
Celebrate 50 golden years! A special anniversary dinner will be held in the Russell J. Salvatore Dining Commons (formerly Clet Hall), in which you will receive the university’s official Golden Eagle alumni pin from President, Rev. James Maher, C.M.

  • This event is exclusive for 1970 and will be completely separate from anything else on campus. Registration/check-in information forthcoming.
  • A virtual option will be available. Please contact (Jaclyn Rossi) Jaclyn Rossi directly if you do not plan to attend alumni weekend and will join virtually.
  • If this event reaches over 100 attendees, proof of vaccination or a negative PCR test will be required.
  • Dress Code: Business Casual (Business casual dress for men examples: Shirts with collars (without a tie), golf-type shirts, dress shirts, sweaters, and slacks/khakis/golf-type shorts. Women: Casual dresses, skirts, dress slacks, blouses, sweaters, etc.)

6-9 p.m.
Class Reunions  (1971, 1975, 1976, 1980, 1981, 1985, 1986, 1990, 1991, 1995, 1996, 2000, 2001, 2005, 2006, 2010, 2011, 2015, 2016, 2020)
Grab a drink and some of WNY's favorite foods while catching up with your classmates! Please dress accordingly as this event will take place outdoors between the Golisano building, Seton Hall, and CAM. In the event of inclement weather (rain), the event will move indoors to a location TBD. (The outdoor event will not be tented due to NYS fire safety code followed by the Town of Lewiston).
Dress Code: Casual (Ex. Jeans, shorts, casual tops, NU gear encouraged!)

6-9 p.m.
50+ (1950, 1951, 1955, 1956, 1960, 1961, 1965, 1966)
Celebrating 50+ years from NU. Grab a drink and some of WNY's favorite foods while catching up with your classmates! 50+ will be hosted in the Premium Lounge within Dwyer Arena.
Dress Code: Casual (Ex. Jeans, shorts, casual tops, NU gear encouraged!)


Saturday, June 5

Niagara Global Tourism Institute (NGTI) TReC Business Incubator Tours

Veterans Memorial Service 
Join us as we commemorate all veteran alumni who served our country. We will also unveil the Class of 1970 Veteran plaque. (Outdoors, more information to come.)

Noon – 3 p.m.
Alumni Cookout (Outdoors)
Grab lunch and explore campus through an Athletic Meet & Greet (12-1 p.m.), Castellani Art Museum Tours (1 p.m.), & Campus Tours (12, 1, 2 p.m.)!
Dress Code: Casual (Ex. Jeans, shorts, casual tops, NU gear encouraged!)

4 - 6 p.m.
Class of 1995 & 1996 Silver Eagle Celebration
25 years since you’ve graduated? Let's celebrate! Join your classmates and president, Rev. James J. Maher, C.M. for an exclusive reception and pinning ceremony in honor of your Silver Eagle anniversary held at the Doubletree by Hilton in Niagara Falls, N.Y. *A virtual option will be available. Dinner, drinks, music, campus updates, and more! Based on the number of attendees, this may be split into 2 ballrooms by decades.
*100 attendees or less (per ballroom) no testing required. 101-150 attendees per ballroom will need to be tested or show proof of vaccination. We will monitor registration and update you as needed.

Alumni Chapel will be under construction during alumni weekend. An exact location is forthcoming.

DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Niagara Falls New York: If you had a room reserved at our hotel headquarters, it has been automatically cancelled. To re-book for June 4-6, 2021 at $129/night please contact the hotel directly at 716.524.3333 and reference Niagara University Alumni or click here.  (If you plan to come in early, the hotel is offering an $89 special for Thursday!) Group rate available until May 15, 2021. 

On-campus accommodations are also being offered. 

Campus Store: 

The Perch (located in Gallagher Center, lower level) will be open 12-4 p.m. on Friday, June 4 and 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. on Saturday, June 5.  The main store in the Butler Building will not be open as all of the clothing and gift items are in the Gallagher center.
