Back story:
The word provost stems from the Latin word praepositus, meaning “head” or “chief,” and has been used since the early Middle Ages to designate a senior administrative officer of academic institution.
Just the facts:
The Office of Academic Affairs oversees the entire academic sector of the university, including all faculty and curriculums, academic support services, external programs and concurrent enrollment; the Niagara County Law Enforcement Academy; the academic senate; tenure and promotion; academic integrity; records and transcripts; degree progression; commencement; the library; and the Castellani Art Museum.
