Wellness Program

Fitness Rewards Program

Fitness Rewards is a program developed by the Niagara University Kiernan Recreation Center. This program will give you the chance to be rewarded for working out on a regular basis.

To begin the program, all you need to do is register with the front desk staff at the Kiernan Center. Our staff will record your name in the Fitness Rewards binder (for registration only). Sign in each time you come to work out, participate in aerobics classes, intramurals, and club sports (every time you enter the building except for sports practices). Don't worry about charting your progress, Kiernan will do it for you!

There are plenty of opportunities to receive great prizes so don’t hesitate to sign up!

Under the American with Disabilities Act (ADA), individuals with disabilities needing accommodations to participate in Kiernan Center programs or use the Kiernan Center facilities should contact a KC supervisor at 716.286.8055 for assistance.

Insanity

The INSANITY workout might just be the hardest fitness program ever put on DVD. You will be pushed past your limits with plyometric drills on top of nonstop intervals of strength, power, resistance, and ab and core training moves. No equipment or weights needed, just the will to get the hardest body you've ever had! Classes will begin on Jan. 23. Registration is required to participate. You can sign-up at the front desk of the Kiernan Center

30-Hour Challenge

The Kiernan Center challenges all patrons to complete 30 hours of cardiovascular exercise by the end of the semester. Sign-up at the KC front desk, get in a cardio workout and we will track your progress by quarter hours (i.e. 15 min.= .25, 30 min.=.5, 45 min.=.75 & 60 min.=1). All participants that reach 30 hours by April 27will win cool prizes and are entered into a raffle to receive cash prizes! Registration is required.
