Bio
Adriano has returned to Niagara University as the current Artist in Residence and Recruiter for the Department of Theatre & Fine Arts. Certified with Distinction by Fight Directors Canada and with Recommendation by the Society of American Fight Directors, Adriano’s work as a fight choreographer has been seen at various theatres across the country, most recently at Shakespeare in Delaware Park, Torn Space Theatre, the Kavinoky Theatre and Road Less Traveled Productions. Adriano has taught stage combat and also choreographed for the Shakespeare Theatre Company, Indiana Repertory Theatre, Geva Theatre and various institutions throughout the country. As a member of AEA, Adriano was awarded an Acting Fellowship to train with Michael Kahn at the prestigious Shakespeare Theatre Company in Washington, DC, winner of the 2012 Regional Theatre Tony Award. His professional acting credits include productions with Folger Shakespeare Theatre, Round House Theatre, Indiana Repertory Theatre, Walnut Street Theatre and MusicalFare, among others. In 2012, Adriano was honored with an Artvoice Artie Nomination for Outstanding Actor in a Play for his portrayal of Julian in the World Premier adaptation of Henrik Ibsen’s Emperor and Galilean with Torn Space Theatre.
