There is no doubt that the dedicated professors and staff in the Social Work Program are what make this program so great.  They are there to ensure that each student receives quality academic and personal growth and are excellent supports every step of the way.  I feel it was a great overall experience to come to Niagara University.  It has truly paved the way for great prospects for the future.  I would highly recommend this program to those considering continuing their education in Social Work.  It's well worth it!

I graduated with my Bachelor of Science in 2003 and completed my Masters of Social Work with a concentration in health, mental health and disabilities at The State University at Buffalo's School of Social Work. Since receiving my MSW, I have worked in the fields of behavioral health and end of life care. I am currently, a Clinical Supervisor at Hospice of the Western Reserve in Cleveland, Ohio where I supervise a team of 30. My team consists of social workers, chaplains, nurses and nursing assistants. In addition to my supervisory responsibilities, I have served as a field educator, facilitate trainings on psychosocial topics for hospice volunteers and conduct and present research on suicide at the end of life. I credit the education I received while in NU's Social Work program for my success today. It was at NU that I was first exposed to conducting and presenting scholarly research. I also started my hospice journey while at NU, as I completed my internship at Niagara Hospice. I am open to answering questions and can be contacted at zitoamber@yahoo.com Amber Zito, LISW, LMSW
