Certificate Program
The Niagara University Supply Management Certificate Program is designed to be a comprehensive and convenient way to learn about managing key aspects of the supply chain. It is designed as a professional development resume builder for managers with no formal logistics education. The purpose is twofold. First, to learn practical ways to save money and improve performance in key areas of the supply chain. Second, the student will gain a broader perspective on management and drivers of the supply chain, thus enhancing career advancement.
To complete the Certificate, the student needs to complete five out of six short courses. Normally, these are:
1. Supply Chain Management
Lead Instructors Jack Ampuja and Jim Kling
2. Transportation and Traffic Management--12 Class Hours
Lead Instructors Jim Kling, Dennis Sullivan, Tom Collister
3. International Logistics--12 Class Hours
Lead Instructors Jack Ampuja, Tom Korpolinski, Gary Simpson
4. Purchasing and Supply Management
5. Inventory Management
6. Warehousing & Material Handling
There may be other courses offered by the NCSCE Center that can be substituted with the permission of the Center Director. A firm that wishes to to send five or more students through the certificate program may also have 12 hours custom taught.
Discussion and interaction are important parts of these courses. This is the reason we do not offer on-line courses.
