Education That Makes a Difference

Room Selection

Room Selection 2013 Information

Room selection will take place over two days – April 15 and 17.

The first day will allow graduates, rising seniors (class of 2014) and rising juniors (class of 2015) to choose their rooms. All upperclassmen rooms (those rooms not set aside for first-year students) will be available during this time, rather than having a separate apartment and room selection process, so students will not have to come back at a later date to select a room for next year. The second day will allow rising sophomores (class of 2016) to select rooms. More information about the priority by lottery number is explained below. All students should come to their room selection date. However, if you are unable to attend, you may designate a current Niagara University student to serve as your proxy and choose your room for you by completing a Proxy Form. Proxy forms are available for pick-up in the Residence Life Office or can be downloaded here

Lottery Numbers* – All current students (residents and commuters) will be assigned a lottery number based on their admit status to the university. This means that students will receive a lottery number by their entering class year; as explained above, we will be referring to you as a “rising” class of 2014, 2015 and 2016. Transfer students will be assigned a lottery number based on their credit hour status so they may choose rooms with the class they will graduate with.

*Lottery numbers were made available on myNU on March 18
