Education That Makes a Difference

Residence Hall Closing Information

ALL residence halls and apartments close on Wednesday, May 8, 2013, at noon

All residents must checkout within 24 hours of their last exam or by Wednesday, May 8, at noon, whichever is earlier. Graduating seniors and graduate students may request to stay until May 12 at noon.

Checkout Process

All residents must check out of their rooms. Students should contact a CA at least 24 hours in advance to schedule a checkout time. At this checkout time, residents will meet with a member of the Residence Life staff to review the room together. Staff will conduct an inspection of the room and record their findings on the student's room inventory. The student will sign and receive a copy of this document. Student will then leave their keys with the staff member and depart for home. PLEASE NOTE: All personal belongings must be removed and your half of the room must be cleaned before your scheduled checkout time.

Things to Keep in Mind

  • Your room must be clean (floor swept, counters dusted, NO TRASH).
  • Check your drawers/closet more than once. Anything left in the room will be thrown away.
  • You must return your key.
  • All furniture must be in your room. If anything is missing, you will be charged.
  • All residents MUST sign up for a checkout with a community advisor.
  • Remember that you must leave no later than noon on Wednesday, May 8.
