Dwyer Arena
A great facility for youth hockey tournaments
Dwyer Arena, the home of the Niagara Men’s and Woman’s
Division 1 hockey teams, has all the amenities and services
that would make it a worthy facility to host the best teams in
Western New York. The facility has hosted major events,
such as the 2002 Men’s CHA tournament, the 2004 Women’s
CHA tournament, the Empire State games and three yearly
youth tournaments that are well attended from teams all over
the eastern United States and Canada.
There are 3 major youth hockey tournaments hosted by this facility every year. The Thanksgiving Day Tournament(4th weekend in November), The Patriots Day Tournament(3rd weekend in February), and The Earlybird Tournament(4th weekend in August).
The Jr. Purple Eagles will be the host team and
will provide the manpower and the
professionalism to make the event a classy and
well-run event that will be a memorable
experience for those involved.
Niagara University's Dwyer Arena is a 100,000 square foot hockey facility. the complex has two 85' X 200' ice surfaces, 10 locker rooms, Pro-Shop, Snack Bar, Game Room and a entertainment deck over looking the main arena.
The main ice surface has seating for 1500 spectators, sound system and three press boxes. The auxiliary rink can seat 300 spectators. Each rink has its own series of locker rooms right off the ice. The lighted parking lot will accommodate over 300 cars.
