In this survey, we ask for your input on the topic of irrational food beliefs. Irrational food beliefs are defined as distorted or unrealistic attitudes or beliefs about food. Examples of irrational food beliefs include such privately held beliefs as "food is my only source of pleasure" or "life would not be worth living without ice cream." We believe that irrational food beliefs often get in the way of a person's success at weight control. Below we ask for some demographic information about you. Then we ask you to offer examples of irrational food beliefs. These can be drawn from your own experience or the experiences of those close to you. Your examples may then be used in the development of a questionnaire designed to assess the tendency for people to subscribe to irrational food beliefs. Thanks for your participation!

Please respond to each item. All responses will be kept confidential. Thank you!
