Dearest Father Joe Levesque, our new president and good friend. Greetings and a warm welcome from the faculty of the Colleges of Arts and Science, Business, Education, Nursing and ITHRA.

We are proud that you have been names the twenty-fifth president of Niagara University. We are proud and honored because you have been our friend for many years. We were colleagues together, sharing office space, kitchen space, lunch and coffee in Alumni Hall. We laughed together at social events we planned for The Faculty Club when you served as its president. We supported you wholeheartedly when you became Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences because we, like you, always believed the college to be the "heart" of the institution. And we took up your challenge when you said with a smile, "Do it! Finish the Ph.D."
